About the role#
The Summer Associate Program provides a comprehensive look at the construction industry. You will work directly with a team on a jobsite or within a department to gain hands-on experience. This full-time program lasts 10-12 weeks and begins in mid-May or early June. You will complete a Capstone Project and presentation to share your professional growth with leadership. You will also participate in the Passport Experience series to build your network and learn about company operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage project finances, document control, and trade partner success.
- Support field management through site logistics, quality control, and safety oversight.
- Assist with project development tasks including budgeting, estimating, and purchasing.
- Explore essential business operations functions.
- Monitor and respond to communications to address critical project situations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management.
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for the construction industry.
- Ability to represent the company professionally and work as a team player.
- Dedication to meeting role expectations and following standard procedures.
- Self-directed learning habits and accountability for your work.
- Visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Comfort lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

- Compensation: $27 - $35 per hour.
