About the role#
As a Powerplant/Propulsion Engineer Collegiate Associate Intern, you will join the Innovation, Engineering, and Flight team. You will contribute to technical projects while working alongside professional engineering staff. This role is intended for students pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher who want to apply classroom knowledge to real-world aerospace challenges.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a team in your field of study to develop solutions for engineering challenges.
- Tour manufacturing and research facilities to see products up close.
- Interact with company leaders to discuss the industry.
- Build a professional network through social events and activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which must be listed on your resume.
- Working knowledge of aircraft propulsion systems, including turbine engine theory, operations, and nacelle or thrust reverser systems.
- Basic understanding of aircraft systems engineering.
- Skills in critical thinking, technical writing, cause and effect analysis, and understanding of probabilities.
- Proficiency in CATIA, Matlab, Python, and VBA.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Location & details#
- This internship is located in Savannah, Georgia.
- The position requires on-site work during the Summer 2027 semester.
- You must have reliable transportation.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
