About the role#
As an IEF Collegiate Associate Intern, you will work alongside engineering professionals to support Innovation, Engineering, and Flight operations. This role involves contributing to technical projects across various departments including design, flight controls, system integration, and lab testing. You will apply your academic knowledge to real-world aviation challenges while gaining exposure to aircraft development and testing cycles.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Apply engineering principles to resolve aircraft issues following company procedures.
- Support component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities.
- Generate and analyze technical test data.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers.
- Develop your understanding of technical theories and concepts within your field.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
- Full-time student status at the time of application.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (unrounded), which must be listed on your resume.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Reliable transportation.

- This internship is located on-site in Savannah, Georgia.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
