About the role#
Gritt Robotics offers scoped internship projects where you own a deliverable end-to-end. You will work with a dedicated mentor and demo your results to the team. Internships are available for durations of 3 or 6 months. This is a paid, full-time position located on-site in South San Francisco.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate perception components using real robot data.
- Build datasets and evaluation harnesses, run experiments, and report findings.
- Integrate your modules into the live robot stack and demo the results.
- Work on pose estimation, VLMs, VLAs, 3D scene reconstruction, object detection, and multimodal learning.
- Test your work on real robots at the office.
- PhD interns have the opportunity to publish work and attend industry conferences.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch and computer vision fundamentals.
- Evidence of applied work such as personal projects, competitions, publications, or industry robotics experience.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision.
- Legal authorization to intern in the United States for 3 or 6 months.
- Experience with sensor drivers, CUDA, 3D geometry, or multi-sensor fusion is preferred.
