About the role#
Gritt Robotics offers scoped internships where you own a defined deliverable end-to-end. You will work with a dedicated mentor and demo your completed work to the team. This role is available for a duration of either 3 or 6 months.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate perception components using real robot data.
- Build datasets and evaluation harnesses, run experiments, and report results.
- Integrate your modules into the live robot stack and demo the results.
- Work on pose estimation, VLMs, VLAs, 3D scene reconstruction, object detection, and multimodal learning.
- Test your work on real robots at the office.
- Potential opportunity to publish for PhD interns and attend industry conferences.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong Python skills with experience in PyTorch and computer vision fundamentals.
- Evidence of applied work through projects, competitions, publications, or industry robotics experience.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with light supervision and strong problem-solving skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
- Experience with sensor drivers, CUDA, 3D geometry, or multi-sensor fusion is preferred.
