This 10-week training program offers an immersive experience for students to gain hands-on professional experience in the broadcast media industry. Participants are expected to take ownership of their roles and contribute directly to the station's daily operations, working alongside experienced professionals to produce content that serves the local community.
What you'll do#
- Take responsibility for tasks as a producer, multimedia journalist, meteorologist, or media sales executive.
- Produce content for digital platforms, including social media and web stories.
- Collaborate with industry professionals to gain practical insights and build a professional portfolio.
- Tell stories that are relevant and impactful to the local community.
- Commit to a schedule of 25 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university, with Junior or Senior status preferred.
- Pursuit of a degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- A passion for local media and a commitment to the full 10-week program.
- Reliability and the ability to work effectively in a professional environment.
