About the role#
The Grand Forks Spitfires are looking for interns to join our team for the Summer 2027 season. This role focuses on sponsorship activation, marketing, and game day entertainment. You will gain hands-on experience in the sports and event industry while helping us create a memorable experience for our fans and community. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute game day entertainment and sponsor promotions.
- Manage the guest service table, including setup, inventory, and fan interactions.
- Assist with the Spitfires Family Fun Zone and general ballpark setup and teardown.
- Update the Asana platform and master calendars with event and sponsorship details.
- Prepare sponsorship recap booklets and track the progress of marketing programs.
- Coordinate sponsor signage, giveaway items, and program handouts.
- Represent the team at community events and perform as the mascot at least once.
- Maintain ballpark cleanliness and assist with general marketing material distribution.
- Interact with fans to ensure a positive experience and assist with in-game sponsor touchpoints.
What you'll need#
- Current college student status in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A fun, outgoing, and charismatic personality with the ability to perform in front of an audience.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress and maintain character in public-facing roles.
- Self-motivated mindset with the ability to take initiative and work as a team player.

Location & details#
- Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24th to August 13th).
- Modality: On-site.
- Availability: Must be available for all home games, team events, weekends, and holidays. Standard office hours are 9 AM to 5 PM on non-game days.
- Housing: Available upon request (intern is responsible for utilities).
