About the role#
GlobalFoundries is looking for an intern to support the SEC reporting and accounting team. You will help drive the reporting process and streamline documents to meet our deliverables. This role involves working across the organization to understand accounting impacts and business issues, providing financial analysis to support strategic recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Roll forward external reporting documents for upcoming quarters.
- Review documents to verify prior period numbers.
- Use cashflow data to streamline reporting processes.
- Assist with cash flow and balance sheet analytics.
- Monitor financial performance by reporting on variances from the plan.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support corporate decision-making.
- Develop repeatable business processes to increase productivity.
- Build relationships with Controllership, R&D, Investor Relations, and site finance teams.
- Support all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.
What you'll need#
- At least a sophomore status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA and good academic standing.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Prior internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
