About the role#
GlobalFoundries is looking for an intern to join our SEC Reporting and Accounting team for the Summer 2027 term. You will help drive the reporting process and streamline documents to meet our deliverables. This role involves working across the organization to understand accounting impacts and key business issues while developing strategic recommendations supported by financial analysis.
What you'll do#
- Roll forward external reporting documents for upcoming quarters.
- Review documents to verify that prior period numbers are accurate.
- Use cashflow process data to streamline reporting workflows.
- Assist in preparing cash flow and balance sheet analytics.
- Monitor financial performance by reporting on variances from plan.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support corporate decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop repeatable business processes.
- Build relationships with Controllership, R&D, Investor Relations, and site finance teams.
- Follow all safety protocols and support Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a sophomore in a Bachelor program for Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Preferred: Prior internship or co-op experience.
- Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Preferred: Project management skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Preferred: Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline workflows.
- Preferred: Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred: Detailed knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
