About the role#
The Commercial Agreements team is looking for a law student to join us in Essex Junction, Vermont for the summer of 2027. You will work with attorneys and contract professionals to support sales transactions and help manage global customer relationships. This position is a full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with sales transactions and nondisclosure agreements.
- Review and analyze customer contract drafts while gathering information to complete documentation.
- Participate in internal business reviews.
- Help with contract negotiations involving our customers.
- Contribute to special projects regarding contract templates, playbooks, compliance, and process improvements.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and security programs while performing your work.
What you'll need#
- You must be actively pursuing a Juris Doctor degree and entering your second year of law school at the start of the internship.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0 and good academic standing.
- Understanding of U.S. contract law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and fluency in English.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Preference is given to candidates with prior legal clerkship or internship experience, leadership experience, or project management skills.
- We also value backgrounds in business, science, engineering, technology, finance, or accounting, as well as fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German.
- An interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies is a plus.
