    About the role#

    GlobalFoundries is seeking a second-year law student to join the Commercial Agreements team in Essex Junction, Vermont. This summer internship focuses on supporting internal clients and external customers through commercial transactions, contract analysis, and process improvement projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist attorneys and paralegals with sales transactions and nondisclosure agreements.
    • Analyze customer contract drafts and gather necessary information to complete documentation.
    • Participate in internal business reviews and support contract negotiations.
    • Work on projects related to contract templates, playbooks, compliance, and process improvements.
    • Follow all safety, environmental, health, and security requirements while performing your work.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited Juris Doctor program, entering your second year at the start of the internship.
    • A minimum 3.0 overall GPA and good academic standing.
    • Knowledge of U.S. contract law.
    • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and English fluency.
    • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
    • Preferred qualifications include prior legal experience, leadership roles, project management skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
    • A background in business, science, engineering, or technology is a plus, as is knowledge of finance or accounting.
    • Interest in using AI tools for workflow efficiency.
    • Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German is considered an asset.
