About the role#
GlobalFoundries is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Intern for our Fab 9 location in Essex Junction, Vermont. This internship is for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and focus on sustaining and running the fab floor. You will be assigned a specific project to lead to completion and present at an end-of-year intern poster session.
What you'll do#
- Drive improvements in throughput, cost reduction, and yield learning.
- Define and maintain equipment installation processes and roadmaps.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize equipment performance.
- Lead hands-on troubleshooting to resolve long-term performance issues.
- Collaborate with integration and process engineering teams to support technology development.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner while following environmental and security requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
- English language fluency.
