About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team in providing accurate, efficient, and service-oriented care. You will assist in daily operations, maintain inventory, and build positive relationships with patients while ensuring compliance with all company and legal standards.
What you'll do#
- Welcome and acknowledge patients at pharmacy entry points with a professional and compassionate approach.
- Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting online orders, adjusting order points, and assisting with physical inventories.
- Finalize sales using the cash register according to established point of sale procedures.
- Process medical expense reports and enter patient data, including insurance information and prescription details.
- Support the safe dispensing of medication and durable medical equipment by following quality assurance policies.
- Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations.
- Assist the team in meeting service metrics and executing company initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
