About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role focuses on providing safe, accurate patient care while assisting the pharmacy team to ensure efficient service and department performance.
What you'll do#
- Welcome and acknowledge patients at pharmacy entry points with compassion.
- Assist team members with tasks to maintain department efficiency.
- Maintain inventory levels by submitting online orders and managing on-hand counts.
- Process medical expense reports and enter patient data, insurance information, and prescription details.
- Perform regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including medication selection and counting.
- Maintain a clean work environment that meets company and government requirements.
- Finalize sales at the cash register and assist with third-party billing and claim resolutions.
- Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA regulations.
What you'll need#
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
