About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the daily operations of the pharmacy department. This role focuses on providing safe, accurate, and efficient care while building positive relationships with patients. You will work under the guidance of the pharmacy team to ensure department standards are met and patient needs are addressed.
What you'll do#
- Maintain inventory levels by submitting online orders and managing on-hand counts.
- Process medical expense reports and file written prescriptions daily.
- Assist team members with daily tasks to ensure the department runs efficiently.
- Model excellent patient care by engaging with patients, directing them to products, and assisting with their needs in person or by phone.
- Perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including data entry for patient information and prescriptions, insurance billing, and medication dispensing.
- Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 0 to 6 months of experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
