About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering accurate and efficient care. You will engage with patients to provide service, assist with daily operations, and contribute to the overall performance of the pharmacy department.
What you'll do#
- Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting online orders, adjusting order points, and managing on-hand counts.
- File written prescriptions daily.
- Assist team members with tasks to ensure the department runs efficiently.
- Model excellent patient care by respecting and engaging with patients, including processing orders and directing them to products.
- Process medical expense reports.
- Perform all regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including the selection and counting of medication, data entry, and finalizing sales at the register.
- Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations.
What you'll need#
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
