Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will serve as a key member of the pharmacy team, focusing on safe, accurate, and efficient patient care. You will support daily pharmacy operations, manage inventory, and build relationships with patients while working under the guidance of licensed pharmacists.

What you'll do#

• Model excellent patient care by greeting patients, processing orders, and addressing needs with compassion.
• Maintain inventory levels by managing order points, quantities, and on-hand counts.
• Perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including filing prescriptions, entering patient data, and processing insurance information.
• Assist the team in reviewing service metrics and executing action plans to improve pharmacy performance.
• Ensure the work environment remains clean and compliant with all company and government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Support the safe dispensing of medication and medical equipment by following quality assurance policies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
• Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Preferred academic backgrounds include Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Biology.
