About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to provide safe and efficient patient care. You will perform the duties of a Pharmacy Technician while building relationships with patients and supporting the department's operational goals.
What you'll do#
- Maintain proper inventory levels by managing order points, quantities, and on-hand counts.
- File written prescriptions daily and maintain a clean work environment.
- Assist team members with daily tasks to ensure the department runs efficiently.
- Review service and business metrics to help the team implement action plans.
- Model excellent patient care by greeting patients, processing orders, and directing them to appropriate products.
- Finalize sales at the cash register and process medical expense reports.
- Enter patient data, insurance information, and prescription details including calculations and directions.
- Assist with the safe dispensing of medication and durable medical equipment by following quality assurance procedures.
- Alert pharmacists to drug utilization reviews and assist with third-party billing and claim resolutions.
- Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 0 to 6 months of experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

- Location: Hamilton, Ohio.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
