About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Giant Eagle, you will support the daily operations of our pharmacy department. You will work on-site in Pittsburgh to provide patient care and assist the pharmacy team in maintaining efficient service standards.
What you'll do#
- Engage with patients to meet their needs, answer questions, and provide service.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by submitting online orders and adjusting stock levels.
- Assist team members with daily tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.
- Process medical expense reports and handle prescription data entry.
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform the regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including medication selection and counting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program.
- An active in-state Pharmacy Intern License.
- A high school degree or equivalent.
- 0 to 6 months of experience.
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Majors in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, or Health Administration are preferred.
