About the role#
Geosyntec Consultants is hiring a Hydrogeologist Intern for the fall 2026 term. This part-time position lasts for 13 to 15 weeks. You will apply your academic knowledge of geology and hydrogeology to real-world consulting projects. We prefer candidates who can return for up to two additional semester rotations.
What you'll do#
- Perform fieldwork, including soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, and drilling oversight.
- Assist with geologic, hydrogeologic, and engineering calculations using technical software.
- Prepare reports, letters, memoranda, plans, and proposals.
- Manage data input and analysis, including the creation of maps, tables, and figures.
- Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and contractors.
- Travel to project sites and business locations as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Environmental Engineering, hydrogeology, geology, geochemistry, or environmental geology.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Effective interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid U.S. driver license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with ArcView, CADD, or Microsoft Office is preferred.

- This role is based on-site in Tampa or Clearwater, Florida.
- The position is paid.
