About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join a cohort of students to work on projects that integrate your classroom knowledge with professional practice. You will have opportunities to interact with executive leadership and participate in company events throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Inventory and document Finance KPI definitions, calculations, data sources, and reporting processes across global regions.
- Develop standardized KPI definitions, governance processes, and reporting frameworks to improve consistency and transparency.
- Create dashboards and management reports comparing actual, budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
- Perform financial and operational variance analysis to identify key business drivers and actionable insights.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of an AI-enabled Finance reporting agent within Gizmo.
- Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to improve reporting efficiency, data quality, and decision-making capabilities.
- Present project findings and recommendations to Finance leadership and executive stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Management Information Systems.
- Must have finished your freshman year by the start of the internship.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, work independently, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations effectively through written, verbal, and presentation formats.
- Interest in financial reporting, business performance management, KPIs, and process improvement.
- Experience with data visualization, reporting tools, business intelligence applications, or artificial intelligence technologies is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Novi, Michigan.
- You must be able to work on-site 4 to 5 days a week.
- The work modality is hybrid.
