About the role#
As a Software Developer in Test intern on the Agent Development team, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and verification of cloud-based services. You will work alongside experienced engineers in an agile environment to build and validate software that helps employees develop their skills. This role provides hands-on experience with Java, Python, AWS, and modern testing frameworks while you tackle real engineering challenges related to scalability, security, and quality.
What you'll do#
- Design and verify full-stack software throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to improve software quality and confidence in production releases.
- Build and enhance automated test pipelines to support reliable software delivery.
- Validate resilient, secure, and maintainable cloud applications on AWS infrastructure.
- Investigate and debug software issues by collaborating with developers and quality engineering partners.
- Identify risks and contribute to design discussions to ensure features meet expected standards.
- Explore new technologies and testing approaches to strengthen engineering efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with programming in Java, Python, or a similar modern language.
- Basic experience with software testing concepts, test design, or debugging.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals and agile practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Exposure to automated testing tools like Selenium or Playwright, cloud computing concepts, or continuous integration practices is a plus.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Summer 2027 (8 to 16 months).
- Modality: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the Toronto office).
