About the role#
As a Software Developer Intern on the Genesys Cloud team, you will join an agile engineering group delivering features for our cloud platform. You will focus on reporting and data insights while using AI tools to improve software quality and development workflows. You can expect mentorship, exposure to engineering leadership, and a collaborative team environment.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and test scalable features for our reporting and analytics solutions.
- Use AI coding assistants to explore, prototype, write, and refactor code.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests to ensure stability.
- Participate in peer code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies.
- Uphold standards for security, data privacy, and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Engage with teammates and learn to build software in an enterprise environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with a modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
- Experience with Git version control systems like Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab.
- Curiosity regarding cloud architectures, data stacks, and AI technology.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or coursework in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud services.
- Exposure to data visualization, reporting pipelines, or API integrations.
- Experience or active experimentation with AI developer tools or agentic coding assistants.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the Toronto office).
- Term: Summer 2027 (8 to 16 months beginning in May or June 2027).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
