About the role#
General Atomics is hiring a Legal Intern for our facility in San Diego. This is a part-time, year-round position for an undergraduate student who plans to attend law school in the near future. You will work directly with our legal department to gain practical experience and assist with daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Participate in supervised training provided by legal assistants.
- Support the legal team with daily administrative tasks like filing, copying, scanning, and printing.
- Prepare binders and take notes during meetings.
- Manage corporate files, including indexing, logging, and moving documents between departments.
- Conduct legal research.
- Communicate with employees and external contacts across the company.
- Use MS Office Suite and other software to complete assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at a recognized college or university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher is strongly preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite and general computer use.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and organizational policies.
- Capacity to learn new concepts quickly and apply them to your work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Compensation: 39,000 to 58,125 per year.
