About the role#
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will support the team in managing regulatory requirements for purchased components and materials. This role ensures that our electronic products meet market standards by tracking supplier compliance declarations for regulations such as PFAS, TSCA, REACH, RoHS, and Proposition 65. You will primarily use the Assent platform to manage these processes.
What you'll do#
- Solicit, collect, and validate compliance declarations from suppliers.
- Manage and update files within the Assent platform, including sending requests and following up on deadlines.
- Review incoming declarations to identify missing or non-compliant information.
- Escalate problematic cases to management, engineering, or quality teams.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality departments to assess the impact of new parts on product compliance.
- Monitor changes in relevant regulations and report potential impacts to the team.
- Prepare status reports regarding supplier response rates and compliance metrics.
- Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to improving compliance processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program in engineering, environment, chemistry, science, administration, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- High level of rigor, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
- Ability to work independently and analyze information effectively.
- Strong communication skills for professional follow-ups with suppliers.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations or experience with compliance platforms like Assent is an asset.
- An interest in the electronics manufacturing sector and international supply chains is a plus.
