About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Human Resources team. This position provides hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, administration, and project management. You will work on meaningful tasks that contribute to the overall success and effectiveness of the HR department.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and initial candidate assessments.
- Champion a site-specific orientation program in collaboration with the Lead HR Partner and manage day-to-day onboarding for new hires.
- Work on small HR projects aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee engagement, and developing site-specific standard procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including document preparation, data entry, record maintenance in Workday, and event coordination.
- Support the HR team in addressing employee inquiries and concerns while assisting in the implementation of engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate training sessions and learning opportunities for employees.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of Workday is considered an asset.
