About the role#
This co-op position offers the opportunity to contribute to energy transition efforts by optimizing non-traditional machining processes. You will work within the METEM team to support the global power generation fleet, focusing on technologies such as Electrical Discharge Machining, Fast Hole Drilling, or Electrochemical Machining. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Drive customer satisfaction, quality, and fulfillment by reducing variation in key process parameters.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify waste and drive productivity savings.
- Troubleshoot complex chemical and mechanical process equipment to resolve technical issues in real-time.
- Evaluate process improvement areas and lead cross-functional teams to implement changes.
- Maintain technical knowledge of current standards and codes to ensure the safe use of production equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate engineering program, specifically in Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Strong interest in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

- Work schedule: 40 hours per week, 1st shift.
