About the role#
The Nuclear Engineering Intern role for Summer 2027 offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the power generation industry. Interns will work on technically challenging assignments while receiving mentorship and coaching from experienced technical managers and technologists. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Wilmington, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Perform design and analysis of product lines.
- Develop models, conduct research, and solve technical problems.
- Collaborate with internal teams and other organizations.
- Grow technical expertise in fields including systems, analysis, design, reliability, digital, and integration and test.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline, specifically: Nursing, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Computer, or Environmental Engineering.
- Graduation date of Dec 2027, May 2028, Dec 2028, May 2029, or Dec 2029.
- A minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A demonstrated desire to advance nuclear power generation.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information.
