About the role#
This internship provides students with exposure to the nuclear business at GE Vernova. You will work within a manufacturing environment to evaluate processes and identify areas for improvement. This role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Drive customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity savings through process and procedure improvements.
- Utilize LEAN manufacturing methodologies to enhance production areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality and production projects.
- Maintain technical knowledge of standards, codes, and procedures for production equipment.
- Achieve the lowest possible cost for materials while balancing quality and schedule requirements.
- Solicit and evaluate proposals using negotiation and cost analysis techniques.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Graduation date of December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, May 2029, or December 2029.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Demonstrated initiative and an interest in the nuclear power industry.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
