The Tutoring Fellow position offers recent graduates the opportunity to support high school students and their families through the college admissions process. Fellows provide direct tutoring, coaching, and mentoring in a one-on-one environment. This role balances direct student interaction with administrative and organizational projects, allowing for professional development in the education sector.
What you'll do#
- Provide one-on-one tutoring, coaching, and mentoring to high school students.
- Teach content and strategies for standardized admissions exams, such as the ACT and SAT.
- Assist students with executive functioning, study skills, and subject-specific tutoring in areas like math, science, or foreign languages.
- Collaborate with Directors on curriculum research, resource development, and the facilitation of community partnerships.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree from a selective college or university.
- A score at or above the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT.
- Previous experience in formal or informal education, such as tutoring, teaching, or camp counseling.
- Ability to commit to the full 2026-27 school year.
- Majors including Psychology, Sociology, Mathematics, Communications, History, Political Science, English, or Human Resources are preferred.
