About the role#
FusionTek is hiring paid IT Support interns to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. This full-time role focuses on developing technical skills within a managed service provider environment. You will work directly with clients to support their technology needs while learning from our experienced technical teams.
What you'll do#
- Provide support for desktop and laptop systems, including break-fix services.
- Load operating systems and applications, configure settings, and handle desktop administrative tasks.
- Record, track, and escalate cases using our internal tracking system.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all support activities.
- Work with clients both remotely and onsite.
- Coordinate projects and tasks with the Service Delivery and advanced technical teams.
What you'll need#
- Foundational knowledge of Windows or Mac platforms.
- A planned career path in the IT services industry and a genuine interest in troubleshooting.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to stay organized.
- A professional, reliable approach to delivering support.
- Clear verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, friendly way.
- Physical ability to lift and carry computer components up to 50lbs.
- Comfort working with hardware when necessary.
- Familiarity with an IT ticketing system or exposure to helpdesk roles is preferred.
