About the role#
The QA/QC Field Engineer Intern serves as a technical assistant to the field team. You will act as a liaison between the QA/QC Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendents, and the office. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support technical tools including iPads, QA/QC software, BIM360Field, and Bluebeam.
- Communicate project specifications and provide drawings or details for equipment layout and dimensions.
- Lead training for technology tools, software applications, and SOPs.
- Manage relational data sets for equipment and feeders and generate reports from that data.
- Ensure procedures and checklists are in place to document that equipment is installed and energized to project requirements.
- Assemble project information to document installation conformity.
- Collect and enter data for KPI and visual reporting.
- Provide support materials and reports to project leads.
- Assist with commissioning activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution, actively working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction.
- Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn project checklist and issue management software.
- Knowledge of electrical terminology and components.

- Locations: Pittsboro, Indiana and El Paso, Texas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Up to 100%.
- Schedule: Variable, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
