About the role#
The Estimating PM Intern works with the estimating and preconstruction teams on assigned projects. You will gain industry knowledge and experience while supporting the preparation of project estimates. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review specifications and project documentation to prepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor.
- Perform electronic takeoffs using drawings and on-screen tools.
- Organize bid components to maintain accuracy.
- Attend job site walk-throughs alongside the Senior Estimator or Estimating Supervisor.
- Consult with clients, vendors, superintendents, and project managers to formulate estimates.
- Discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates with architects, engineers, owners, and contractors.
- Finalize completed bids and handle follow-up tasks.
- Process miscellaneous paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant program.
- Proficiency with a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Accubid, blueprint reading, and general construction is preferred.
- Relevant academic projects, coursework, or prior internships are advantageous.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Menasha, Wisconsin.
- The work is on-site.
- You will work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with 5 to 15 percent travel expected.
