About the role#
As a Project Management Intern at FTI, you will work with our Project Management and Preconstruction teams. This role is designed to build your industry knowledge and support your career growth within the company. You will be based in El Paso for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, organizing, and staffing electrical and specialty systems construction projects.
- Visit jobsites to interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors.
- Review portions of outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department to check for accuracy.
- Contact vendors to secure materials for projects.
- Attend weekly and monthly meetings, including staffing and project management sessions.
- Handle miscellaneous paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution, working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.
- No previous work experience is required, though relevant coursework or past projects in construction are helpful.

- Schedule: Full-time, Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site with 15 to 20 percent travel required.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug test.
