    About the role#

    The Preconstruction and Project Management Internship at FTI provides an opportunity to work alongside project management and preconstruction teams. You will gain industry knowledge and develop your professional skills while supporting electrical and specialty systems construction projects. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist with the planning, organizing, and staffing of electrical and specialty systems projects.
    • Visit jobsites to interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors.
    • Review assigned portions of outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department.
    • Contact vendors to obtain materials for construction projects.
    • Attend weekly and monthly meetings, including staffing, project manager, and sales meetings.
    • Process miscellaneous paperwork.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited institution while working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering.
    • Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Clarksville, Tennessee.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7 AM and 5 PM.
    • Travel: 15-20% travel is required.
