About the role#
The Estimating Intern works with our Estimating, Project Management, and Preconstruction teams. You will gain industry knowledge while supporting assigned projects. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review specifications and documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Perform electronic takeoffs using drawings and on-screen tools.
- Organize bid components to maintain accuracy.
- Attend job site walk-throughs with your supervisor.
- Consult with clients, vendors, foremen, and project managers to formulate estimates.
- Discuss project changes with architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Finalize bids and handle miscellaneous paperwork.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- General knowledge of construction, blueprint reading, and Accubid software are all preferred.
- Academic projects or prior internships in construction or project management are helpful.
Location & details#
- Location: Menasha, Wisconsin.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7 AM and 5 PM.
- Travel: 5-15% travel may be required.
