About the role#
The Engineering Intern works with our team on assigned projects to build industry knowledge and support career growth. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed calculations to establish construction standards and specifications.
- Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure designs meet requirements.
- Plan the layout of electrical construction projects.
- Participate in field surveys and analyze diagrams or data to identify and correct power system problems.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software.
- Complete other related engineering duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or a related engineering field.
- Proficiency with a PC and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- No previous work experience is required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is preferred.
- Basic understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC) and International Energy Code (IEC) is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical terminology and components is preferred.

- This is an on-site role.
- Locations include Menasha, WI, Appleton, WI, Boise, ID, Olathe, KS, El Paso, TX, and Pittsboro, IN.
