About the role#
The Center for Teaching Excellence Student Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to department staff. You will assist with special projects, document management, and routine office operations to help the team run effectively.
What you'll do#
- Provide general clerical support and perform data entry.
- Schedule meetings and rooms while preparing necessary documents.
- Handle document delivery, pickup, mail, and package processing.
- Manage customer support by responding to inquiries via phone and email.
- Track department inquiries and monitor event registration systems.
- Assist with course registration tracking and reporting.
- Support administrative processes for new instructors.
- Scan, file, and manage digital archives.
- Generate purchase orders, requisitions, and faculty stipend forms.
- Assist with contracting, tracking, and updating training spreadsheets.
- Request certificates as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Franklin University student.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfort with repetitive tasks and processes.
- Experience with customer service.
- Experience with AI and chatbot development is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.
- The role is hybrid, requiring at least half of your time to be in-person.
- You must be available to work up to 19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
- This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
