About the role#
This paid internship offers hands-on experience within our watch design teams during the Summer 2027 term. You will work on real product design projects, moving from initial ideation to the final development stages. You will be paired with a mentor for creative guidance and participate in professional development workshops, panel discussions, and lunch and learn sessions. The program concludes with a capstone project presentation to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Support watch design teams on seasonal collections.
- Conduct trend, consumer, market, and competitive research.
- Assist with concept development, sketching, mood boards, color palettes, and material exploration.
- Develop and refine watch concepts based on brand direction and consumer insights.
- Prepare design presentations, concept boards, and creative decks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, and Sourcing.
- Participate in design reviews to incorporate feedback.
- Assist with design samples, prototypes, and product evaluations.
- Explore new materials, finishes, colors, and design details.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
- A portfolio is required.
- Strong sketching, conceptual, and visual communication skills.
- Understanding of design fundamentals, proportion, form, color, and materials.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software, specifically SolidWorks and KeyShot, is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
- Interest in watches, fashion, accessories, and craftsmanship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Richardson, Texas.
- The role follows a hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
