About the role#
We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join our Summer 2027 program at our headquarters in Richardson, Texas. This is a paid, full-time opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience by contributing to real-world brand and marketing initiatives. You will work directly with our Global Creative team to build your professional portfolio while learning how to develop assets for various digital and print channels.
What you'll do#
- Support the Global Creative team on design projects including marketing campaigns, digital content, and in-store assets.
- Assist with layout, typography, illustration, composition, color, and visual storytelling.
- Create presentations, creative decks, mood boards, and branded collateral.
- Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Brand, and Merchandising partners.
- Ensure all work aligns with established brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Research design and cultural trends to inform your creative work.
- Participate in creative reviews and incorporate feedback from designers and stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain creative files.
- Partner with a dedicated mentor for professional development and creative guidance.
- Participate in workshops, lunch and learns, and panel discussions.
- Present a capstone project to Fossil leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Spring 2027 and Spring 2028.
- A portfolio is required for your application.
- Strong understanding of design fundamentals including typography, layout, and color.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with Figma is a plus.
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with varied deadlines.
- Ability to receive and incorporate creative feedback.
- Interest in graphic design, visual culture, fashion, branding, and storytelling.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Richardson, Texas.
- The schedule is hybrid, requiring you to be onsite Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays.
- This is a paid internship for Summer 2027.
