    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will join the team responsible for the research and development of manufacturing processes for all Formlabs products. You will work across mechanical, electrical, software, and materials teams, as well as with international factories and specialized suppliers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Somerville, Massachusetts, spanning the Winter and Spring 2027 terms.

    What you'll do#

    • Support end-to-end test and calibration equipment development, including fixture design, fabrication, and qualification.
    • Manage manufacturing builds both in-house and at overseas vendors.
    • Perform technical troubleshooting to resolve manufacturing line issues.
    • Co-develop methods, processes, procedures, and work instructions for new products.

    What you'll need#

    • Working proficiency with CAD software such as Onshape, Solidworks, or Fusion.
    • Ability to debug, test, and identify root causes of electromechanical problems.
    • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools like SQL, Tableau, JMP, or Minitab.
    • Experience with Python.
    • A portfolio of previous engineering work or projects.
    • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

    • Term: Winter and Spring 2027.
    • Status: Full-time and paid position.
    • Note: This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
