About the role#
This 4-month co-op position allows you to validate changes to workflows, business processes, product rules, and administrative systems. You will use automated testing tools and techniques to ensure modifications function correctly without impacting the existing business environment. You will work alongside experienced Quality Engineers in a collaborative setting, with opportunities to research and apply new technologies.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
- Conduct peer reviews of scripts and provide corrective feedback.
- Identify, track, and manage automation errors.
- Report development status and findings to the Test Automation Lead and project teams.
- Optimize scripts to reduce technical debt and improve performance.
- Work with project teams and subject matter experts to identify test cases for automation.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of the Test Automation Framework and guidelines.
- Partner with the DevOps team to integrate scripts into CICD pipelines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program for Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium with Java/JavaScript or Playwright with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of integrating scripts into CICD pipelines using Azure ADO.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Practical experience with IDEs like Eclipse and version control systems such as Github.
- Understanding of Test and Defect Management.
- Familiarity with operating systems including Linux and Windows, plus containerization tools like Docker.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues identified during the automation process.
- Working knowledge of Web, API, and Mobile Automation testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
