About the role#
Foresters Financial is hiring two Actuarial Co-op students for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. This role provides practical experience in a collaborative office environment. You will work with financial modelling systems and learn how actuarial analysis supports business planning and decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support actuarial modelling, analysis, reporting, and related business activities.
- Assist with data preparation, validation, documentation, and the presentation of results.
- Collaborate with teams including Corporate Actuarial, Capital Management, Pricing, Risk, Investments, Finance, and IT.
- Contribute to projects focused on actuarial processes, business insights, and continuous improvement.
- Build your technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills through hands-on tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an actuarial student actively writing actuarial exams.
- Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.
- Strong analytical and technical abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with AXIS, Datalink, Hyperion, or MicroStrategy is considered an asset.

- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring 2 days per week in the office.
