About the role#
FMOL Health is hiring a Nurse Technician to support our Pediatric ER team. You will provide basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is designed for nursing students who want to gain clinical experience in an emergency setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Record vital signs and document patient data, reporting any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
- Help patients with personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility needs.
- Keep patient rooms and nursing stations clean and organized.
- Retrieve medications from the pharmacy or pneumatic tube system as directed.
- Assist physicians during examinations, treatments, and special tests.
- Collect and transport patient specimens to the lab.
- Perform clinical procedures consistent with your current nursing education level.
- Adapt your care approach to meet the specific developmental needs of pediatric patients.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Registered Nurse program as a Junior or Senior student.
- Completion of at least two clinical rotations, including Med/Surg.
- Good standing within your nursing program and completion of basic patient skills training.
- Active BLS Certification.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
