About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work alongside the Manufacturing Engineering team to meet project goals. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment. You will have the chance to lead specific development or proof of concept projects with a degree of independence. You will report directly to a Manufacturing Engineer and provide weekly progress reports throughout your term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze products and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Research and develop manufacturing processes, including production flow and assembly methods.
- Create and maintain detailed layouts for facilities and equipment.
- Design, test, or source tools and machinery for manufacturing.
- Represent the manufacturing department during cross-functional team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program or higher in Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs when required.
- A methodical, organized approach to tasks and a willingness to work as part of a team.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship located in Livermore, California.
