About the role#
Ferrero is hiring a Mechanical Intern at the Fannie May division in North Canton, Ohio. This role focuses on understanding machine processes and developing improvements for production. You will gain experience with lean manufacturing methodologies like 5S, AM, Kaizen, and SMED. This is a paid internship lasting between six months and one year.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development of new processes and machine training.
- Create final versions of work instructions using MS Office tools.
- Conduct time studies to determine rates and cycles on production lines.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with GMP and SOP standards.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with MS Excel and MS Word.
- Analytical, investigative, and organizational abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and a collaborative approach to solving challenges.
- Previous experience in an industrial or engineering field is preferred.

- Schedule: 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
