About the role#
This is a paid internship based in North Canton, Ohio. You will work with our chocolate manufacturing team to support quality assurance and food safety processes. The role requires 20 to 30 hours per week with a flexible schedule. This position lasts between 6 months and one year.
What you'll do#
- Conduct daily microbiological testing on products made in the factory.
- Swab the environment to monitor microbiological activity.
- Enter sensory and microbiological data into Excel and SAP.
- Manage sample retains, including organization by date and disposal.
- Maintain inventory of supplies.
- Coordinate the calibration and repair of equipment.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or G.E.D. and current enrollment in a science degree program.
- Dependability and a solid work history with safe work habits.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization and outside agencies.
- Analytical skills to solve problems using thinking and reasoning.
- Ability to work under pressure to complete tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet research.
- Ability to walk, move freely, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
