About the role#
The Co-op Engineer position offers students the opportunity to contribute to industrial control and information systems projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real, for-profit projects while participating in a structured mentor program. This role is a full-time, paid position based in Marietta, Georgia.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design, construction, testing, implementation, and documentation of industrial control and information systems.
- Assist in manufacturing operations by using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Support field operations, including requirement definition, site surveys, installation, commissioning, and system checkout.
- Develop technical skills in computer-aided drafting, hardware and software design, and system installation processes.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing ladders, and working on elevated mezzanine levels.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Completion of entry-level engineering coursework.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Ability to pass a professional reference check, criminal background check, and drug screen.
