    About the role#

    Entegris is seeking an Operations Co-Op for our site in Hillsboro, Oregon. This is a full-time, 6-month assignment starting in January 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment by partnering with supervisors, engineers, and technicians to support the production of CMP polishing pads. This role reports to the Senior Operations Manager and involves contributing to projects that improve safety, quality, and productivity.

    What you'll do#

    • Support daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe and efficient production.
    • Analyze performance metrics regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
    • Partner with production teams to identify and implement process improvements.
    • Participate in root cause investigations for operational or safety issues.
    • Coordinate continuous improvement projects across departments.
    • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and visual management tools.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS teams.
    • Evaluate production workflows to recommend improvements to throughput and efficiency.
    • Present project findings and business cases to site leadership.
    • Complete an operations-focused project with measurable business impact.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited college or university in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
    • Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Power BI is a plus.
    • Prior internship or leadership experience is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Hillsboro, Oregon.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
    • Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week.
    • Compensation: $20 to $30 per hour, depending on skills.
    • Note: This position does not offer immigration sponsorship.
