About the role#
This is a paid internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will work remotely as part of a team focused on power systems consulting and energy intelligence. You will report to a manager and work with a mentor to learn the daily responsibilities of a power systems engineer.
What you'll do#
- Perform network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies.
- Develop Python scripts to support process improvement efforts.
- Gain experience with Texas and Eastern Interconnection power systems.
- Work closely with a mentor to learn the day-to-day activities of an engineer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a bachelor degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Completion of or current enrollment in power systems fundamentals courses.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
