About the role#
As an Operational Excellence Intern for Summer 2027, you will join the global team at our manufacturing plant in Elwood, Kansas. You will contribute to projects that help our manufacturing and quality organization run efficiently. This role involves working on business-critical needs to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to support operational excellence initiatives.
- Work on projects to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and improve productivity.
- Use data analysis to build process improvement methods.
- Investigate opportunities for cost-savings and better time management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering, science, or data analysis degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
- A willingness to learn and a strong interest in reviewing and improving processes, data, and statistics.
Location & details#
- Location: Elwood, Kansas (on-site at the manufacturing plant).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17th to August 6th).
- Status: Full-time and paid position.
- Travel: Approximately 10% travel to the corporate facility in Indianapolis, Indiana for program opening and closing events.
