About the role#
As an Operational Excellence Intern, you will join the global team at our Fort Dodge, Iowa manufacturing plant. This summer 2027 internship focuses on delivering projects that help our manufacturing and quality organizations run efficiently. You will work on-site and participate in initiatives that support our pharmaceutical production goals.
What you'll do#
- Support the implementation of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to drive operational excellence.
- Work on projects to optimize workflows, eliminate waste, and increase productivity.
- Use data analysis to build process improvement methods.
- Investigate new ideas for cost-savings and time management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to carry out process improvements in a pharmaceutical environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering, science, or data analysis degree program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suites.
- A willingness to learn and an interest in analyzing processes, data, and statistics.
- Prior internship or professional experience in process improvement and optimization is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17th to August 6th).
- Work Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Travel: 10% travel to our corporate facility in Indianapolis, Indiana for program opening and closing events.
