About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at our Fort Dodge, Iowa site, you will contribute to hands-on technical projects during the summer of 2027. You will work on improving processes, solving business challenges, and supporting operational excellence. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Learn the manufacturing environment and collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems.
- Work within cross-functional teams to build vendor relationships.
- Support the implementation of new process capabilities.
- Create and use data visualization tools.
- Manage documentation updates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering major, such as Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suites.
- A willingness to learn.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- An interest in animals, data-driven problem solving, process improvement, and manufacturing.
Location & details#
- The role is based on-site in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
- The internship term runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- This role involves approximately 10% travel to our corporate facility in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the program opening and closing.
